The AMT Alumni Network

About the AMT Alumni Network

The AMT has a rich history of supporting Australia’s Australia’s participation in international mathematical and informatics Olympiads over many decades, through its strong Olympiad training programs. Students who participated in this program over the years now live, study and work around the world, many as leaders in their respective and varied fields. They form a vast network of passionate people, including educators and mathematicians who contribute to the AMT in many ways.

The AMT Alumni Network is a growing community of individuals who:

  • Competed at an International Mathematical Olympiad, International Olympiad in Informatics, European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad or European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics as a team member or reserve; and/or
  • Attended a training school/camp as a student in-person; and/or
  • Have been a staff member throughout any period of the Maths or Informatics Olympiad programs.

Many alumni continue to contribute by supporting competitions, participating on committees, teaching, mentoring, and participating in workshops or program delivery.

This ongoing engagement strengthens the mathematical community in Australia, helping to preserve a culture of problem solving and to inspire new generations of students. Alumni also benefit from staying connected with peers who share backgrounds in mathematics and computational thinking.

The AMT Alumni network is run by the Olympiads and Pathways Team at the AMT office, supported by a group of enthusiastic alumni.
