The AMT was excited to launch the Alumni Network at the IMO on the Sunshine Coast in July.
This was held as a breakfast event bright and early on Saturday 19 July at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre, Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, the venue for the 2025 IMO. We were privileged to be joined at the launch event by Professor Terry Tao, as well as many other alumni who were part of the 2025 IMO event team or who travelled specifically to Queensland for the event.
It was wonderful to see many familiar faces and feel the joyful buzz in the room as alumni caught up with old friends and shared stories from their IMO experiences. There was an enthusiastic reception to the AMT memorabilia, with many taking home historic limited-edition AMT mugs or past issues of Australian Scenes.
The AMT Olympiad Alumni Network aims to build community and connection, to provide opportunities for alumni to connect with each other and with the activities of the AMT. Following the launch, we are currently holding brainstorming sessions with alumni (in August and September) to discuss what activities alumni would like to see as part of this network and how they would like to contribute.
We understand that there may be alumni that we have not yet been able to contact. Please feel free to forward this information to any former members of the AMT Olympiad program who can register their interest in being part of the network via completing the form below.
