Sydney Alumni Brainstorm Event

Sydney-based AMT Olympiad Alumni came together recently over the weekend, combining problem-solving and connection with one another.

Alumni from both Maths and Informatics took part in a brainstorming session at the University of Sydney on Saturday afternoon. The group were challenged with designing a range of problems that could be submitted to AMT competitions.

After hours of intense thinking, the group ended up producing two strong problem proposals for Maths Challenge, along with several additional ideas for future development.

The session not only generated valuable content for upcoming competitions but also created meaningful discussion across maths and algorithmics. The evening concluded with a dinner featuring a mix of familiar and new faces, supporting the growing engagement within the alumni network.

Overall, the event successfully combined collaboration with community-building, laying a strong foundation for future alumni initiatives.

A huge thank you goes to Andy Tran for organising the event and the dinner afterwards!
